Melissa McKay - Lead Counsellor
Hi, I’m Melissa. I have worked in counselling and human services for over 18 years and have dedicated my career to continually developing and refining my counselling skills and practice.
I hold a Master of Rehabilitation Counselling, a Graduate Diploma of Relationship Counselling, a Graduate Certificate in Professional Counselling Practice, a Bachelor of Applied Social Science, and diplomas in Counselling and Community Services, with specialisation in Mental Health and Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD).
My primary areas of practice include trauma, sexual assault, addiction, anxiety and depression, complex mental health presentations, neurodiversity (including ASD and ADHD), and domestic and family violence.
I am a PACFA Registered Clinical Counsellor and work with clients using a range of evidence-informed therapeutic frameworks and strategies, including:
